Ever since the release of her 2009 debut album Bone Of My Bones, and subsequent addition to Time Out’s “40 Men and Women Who Make London” among myriad other nominal lists, British singer, songwriter, producer and prominent stage presence Ebony Bones has been making music that simply begs to be listened to. Her latest track, I See I Say, is no exception.
Space bound hip-hop to both chill and excite; the song is built on a continuous loop of effected vocals. It’s layered over a background theme that builds to a James Bond climax of epic proportions, all but exploding from your headphones and taking over your entire body. By the time the track’s three minutes 18 seconds are up, you might well find yourself on the floor convulsing in delight. If not, you don’t have it turned up loud enough.
The new single is taken from Ebony Bones’ upcoming sophomore effort Behold, A Pale Horse. The album is released on 5th August 2013.
