Müg Stacked

They have been bubbling under the surface for close to 18 months now and finally, after the release of two seminal EPs, London-based punk rock four piece Müg have announced their debut full-length album. Bursting with overwrought beats, 100mph riffs and entirely addictive gang chants, Stacked leaps into the fray with both feet. The band takes pop after pop at the world, meeting head-on with the social and cultural absurdities that litter our every turn. Leaving no stone unturned, the band call out the likes of inept politicians, financial abusers and even their unconvincing “hardcore” contemporaries.

Müg’s musical style explodes like a phoenix rising from the flames against the throngs of garbage found in our radios and digital players on a daily basis. Their sound is something of an enigma in itself, as told by Düg, the band’s mythical fifth member: “Nobody writes music like that anymore. It speaks of a generation both disenchanted and optimistic, furious and philosophical, light-hearted and tight-fisted,” he says.

The band recently completed tours with The Day I Snapped and Everything We Left Behind and have proudly shared stage with The Bangers, Joey Cape, The Queers, The Flatliners and Banner Pilot. Now, following several months working and recording in studios, bedrooms and kitchens, the boys from Müg are ready to unleash their debut on the world.

Stacked is released on 23rd February 2013. Pre-order the album at Big Cartel.
